Pro-life actress Patricia Heaton speaks truth to power as she defends US pregnancy centres following wave of pro-abortion violence

Patricia Heaton, the actress best known for starring in the popular sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, has taken to Twitter to defend pro-life pregnancy centres in the United States, stating: “No one has ever died from visiting a pregnancy clinic.”

Pro-life pregnancy centres have come under increasing attack in the US this year following the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe vs Wade.

Dozens of US pregnancy centres, which help mothers in crisis pregnancy and provide them with vital advice and support, have since been firebombed or vandalised, as reported by SPUC.

Meanwhile, pro-abortion politicians such as Senator Elizabeth Warren have sought to “crack down” on pregnancy centres.

Condemning the attack on such life-saving pregnancy centres, Patricia Heaton, the noted actress, tweeted: “No one has ever died from visiting a pregnancy clinic.”

Responding to Twitter users demanding that pregnancy centres provide other options, by which they meant abortion, Heaton called out the double standard that is Planned Parenthood, the largest provider of abortion in the US, which “provides no pre or postnatal care for women – do you demand the same of them? Should they provide free ultrasounds, diapers, medical care for pregnant women who want to keep their babies?”

Heaton has been a vocal supporter of the rights of unborn children. In 2020, she condemned the pro-abortion Democratic Party. “Why would any civilized person want to support a barbaric platform that champions abortion for any reason through all nine months funded by taxpayers?” she tweeted.

SPUC comment

A SPUC spokesperson said: “So many Hollywood actors believe they are ‘speaking truth to power’ in their support of abortion. But what they are really doing is advocating for the powerful abortion industry to continue its onslaught on the least powerful members of society – unborn children.

“Patricia Heaton is different, speaking up for mothers and their unborn children. SPUC commends her for having the courage to stand up against the power of the abortion industry, as well as the power of her own industry.”
