Pro-life students of the newly formed Manchester University Pro-Life Society were met by mobs of hyper aggressive pro-abortion students who sought to disrupt the pro-life society’s first event on campus.
The pro-life society, which was founded January 2024, to ‘create a pro-life culture on campus… and promote respect for the dignity of human life from conception’ was met by a furious backlash from pro-abortion students who launched an anonymous petition calling for the society to be cancelled from campus.
On February 29th, the pro-life society hosted its first meeting welcoming new members. The pro-life students faced a mob of hundreds of pro-abortion demonstrators, brandishing crude and crass signs, who ‘egged’ the outside of the event room and could be heard shouting at the pro-life students “stay in there and die.”
Pro-life students received a police escort leaving the event following serious concerns for their physical safety.
The courage of pro-life students in bearing the backlash of a pro-abortion society and overcoming great obstacles to fight for unborn babies must be commended. Students at Manchester Pro-life Society need to know that we stand with them and support them.
