U.S. judge blocks reportedly “damning footage” of officials at National Abortion Federation conferences discussing the sale of aborted baby parts

U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick has blocked the release of alleged “incriminating and damning footage” that shows officials at National Abortion Federation (NAF) conferences discussing the sale of baby parts in 2014 and 2015.

The footage was filmed by pro-life activist David Daleiden and his associates from the anti-abortion Centre for Medical Progress.

The footage is said to include hundreds of hours of damning material in which Daleiden posed as a company called BioMax Procurement Services.

Although the judge stated that the footage “disclosed no criminal activity”, Daleiden has said that Judge Orrick’s “decision hides the most incriminating and damning footage under the fig leaf of trade show exhibit agreements which explicitly permitted exhibitor recording”.

“What is on the footage of public conversations at abortion industry trade shows that Planned Parenthood leadership is so desperate to cover up?” asked Daleiden.

“Our expert Dr. Forrest Smith, the country’s longest-practicing abortion provider, says it shows the quid pro quo sale of fetal body parts, abuse of patients, and infanticide — but Judge Orrick insists he sees nothing wrong with it, yet won’t let the public decide for themselves…

“This transparent attempt to skew the law and suppress free speech to protect the worst wrongdoing must stop, and the truth must be revealed.”

Daleiden will appeal the decision.

SPUC comment

A SPUC spokesperson said: “Daleiden is a pro-life undercover journalist who has faced many challenges in his efforts to expose the dark dealings of the abortion industry and its supporters.

After releasing videos showing officials at Planned Parenthood discussing the sale of fetal tissue and organs harvested from aborted babies, Daleiden became the first-ever journalist to be prosecuted under California’s recording law by the department of Attorney General Kamala Harris, now the U.S. Vice President.

“At the time, Daleiden called the prosecution ‘a brazen, unprecedented, and ongoing conspiracy to selectively use California’s video recording laws as a political weapon to silence disfavored speech’.”
