Hopes for Poland’s new President

6 June 2015

President Andrzej Duda signed the European "One of Us" petition and said that IVF was unconstitutional

Poland’s newly-elected president may hold some promising pro-life views, LifeSiteNews reports.

Andrzej Duda was elected on the May 24 against incumbent Bronisław Komorowski, whose presidency was "a constant flirtation with the radical left," according to Kaja Godek of the Right to Life Foundation. Duda has strongly opposed a convention which went on to allow radical feminists and homosexual lobbyists to enter schools. However, his stance on abortion and IVF is unclear. Duda signed the European "One of Us" petition and said that IVF was against Poland's pro-life constitution but has claimed that he is not himself against IVF. [LifeSiteNews, 2 June]
