Dutch doctors call for legalisation of child euthanasia

The Dutch Paediatric Association says that children "should be allowed to request euthanasia"

Dutch doctors are calling for legislation allowing children under twelve to be euthanised.

The Dutch Paediatric Association released a statement last week saying that children "should be allowed to request euthanasia", and claimed that they understood "the consequences of such a decision." Current laws protect children under twelve from euthanasia. [Christian Institute, 24 June]
