BPAS is calling for a law to introduce "access zones" or "buffer zones"
The British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), one of the UK's largest abortion providers, has called for a law to create "access zones" against pro-life vigils outside abortion centres.
BPAS made the call in response to the rise of pro-life vigils in the UK, such as those by 40 Days For Life and Abort67.
The campaign, called Back Off, is also supported by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of Midwives, and other organisations. [BBC, 28 November]
