25 August 2005 A report which claims that unborn children do not feel pain before the 29th week of pregnancy does not mention that some of its authors are involved in the abortion industry.

Ms Susan Lee, a former employee of NARAL Pro Choice America, was lead author of the research, described in the Journal of the American Medical Association, and an abortion clinic director was another author.

The journal's editor says she did not know of these pro-abortion links and conceded that they might have a bearing on the orientation of the study.

[National Right to Life Committee, 24 August ] The Food and Drug Administration will decide within the next week whether a birth control pill will be available without prescription in America.

If the decision is made to allow such provision of the Plan B morning-after pill, it is expected that the Planned Parenthood Federation of America will profit from sales because of an agreement with Barr Pharmaceuticals, drug's developer.

[LifeNews, 24 August ] A report by Swedish researchers has suggested that being stressed over IVF does not affect the outcome. 166 women were surveyed and no link was found between the level of stress and the chance of conceiving successfully. [BBC, 25 August ]
