Treating abortion as a form of necessary medical care for a victim of rape is dishonest and simplistic; a woman who has been raped requires support and assistance to recover from the rape and abortion can never erase the horror of that act or help the woman to heal.

Today marks the 48th Anniversary of the passing of the 1967 Abortion Act through Parliament. Since the Act became law, more than 8.4 million babies have been killed by legal abortion in England, Scotland and Wales.
