50th Anniversary petition - Unborn Lives Matter
12th May 2016 marks 50 years since David Steel won 3rd place in the Private Members’ Ballot. He used this opportunity to introduce what would go on to become the 1967 Abortion Act, which is the law still in force permitting abortion in England, Scotland & Wales today. In short, this date marks the 50th anniversary of the beginning of legal abortion in this country.
In that time, 8.3 million unborn children have lost their lives.
To commemorate this tragic event, SPUC is organising a nationwide petition campaign to raise public awareness of the humanity of unborn children and to send a message to MPs that unborn lives matter.
And they need to act now to protect unborn lives under law – because Britain can’t afford another 50 years of abortion-on-demand.
