A tiny premature baby who was one of the UK’s youngest people to catch COVID-19 has fought off the virus and celebrated his first birthday.
Baby Theo Stobbs weighed just over two-and-a-half pounds when he was born three months prematurely at the height of the pandemic during 2020.
After months of intensive care, tiny Theo was able to return home to enjoy life with his family. However, despite strict shielding measures, baby Theo tested positive for COVID-19 only four months later.
Theo’s mum Kirsty described how she was terrified for her son. However, brave baby Theo managed to fight off the deadly virus.
He has now reached a fantastic milestone and has celebrated his very first birthday.
Proud mum Kirsty said that Theo is a “happy and healthy little baby.”
