SPUC takes a UK-wide approach to the campaign against abortion, having offices around the UK. This enables us to effectively target our nation's power hubs to achieve our aim of a world that protects the most vulnerable.

Chief Executive John Deighan and his team in Belfast, Glasgow, London and Preston support a vast network of local branches made up of passionate, hard-working volunteers fighting for a fairer world.

Meet the Executive Team

The Executive Team, led by the Chief Executive, is responsible for the day-to-day running of SPUC and the execution of its strategy.

John Deighan

Chief Executive

John's ambition is to create a world where unborn babies and their mothers are given the rights that they deserve.

He is committed to creating an environment where the community of SPUC staff and volunteers are empowered and supported to do all they can to campaign against abortion.

Michael Robinson

Executive Director

(Public Affairs & Legal Services)

Michael is responsible for SPUC's campaigns and communications activity.

He works to ensure that unborn babies and their mothers have a voice, to increase awareness about the assistance and services that we offer, and to inspire people to support and campaign with us. He also manages SPUC's in-house legal team.

Charlie McCluskey

Executive Director

(Outreach & Development)

Charlie oversees the educational, youth and branch development activities of SPUC. He directs a busy team which seeks to increase people's understanding of life issues and to encourage them to become more involved in the work of the society.

His team also facilitates our public events, including Conferences, Project Truth Roadshows, Pro-Life Chains etc, and he is responsible for the administration of the organisation.
