A group of young pro-life supporters wanted to draw attention to these facts and, on 15 June 2005, they held a 24 hour sponsored silent witness and fast at the headquarters of various abortion agencies funded by the government and responsible for abortion at home and abroad. The group was led by Fiorella Nash (nee Sultana de Maria), SPUC's national research and information officer.
Funds raised by the sponsored fast and witness helped SPUC defend innocent unborn life.
