Pontifical Academy for Life members call for academy president to be sacked

Five members of the Pontifical Academy for Life have called for the academy's president to be sacked. The academicians say that Archbishop Rino Fisichella, the academy's president, "does not understand what absolute respect for the sanctity of human life entails". The academician's call is in response to an article by the archbishop on abortion and his handling of objections to the article. John Smeaton, SPUC director, has congratulated the academicians for their action. [John Smeaton, 17 February] http://is.gd/8DH54
