Court to hear application for review of Northern Ireland abortion guidelines

Belfast, Thursday, June 11, 2009 - An application for leave for a judicial review of the Northern Ireland government's guidance on abortion will be heard in the Northern Ireland high court on Monday the 29th of this month (June). The review has been requested by the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC). The society says the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety's guidance distorts the law.
