SPUC is represented at the United Nations (UN).
It is hard to imagine a more neglected area of human rights discussion, from the perspective of international law, than the rights of the unborn. Amnesty for Babies is a pro-life initiative, launched in Geneva on 28th June 2006, which is supported by organizations worldwide and is organized, on their behalf, by SPUC. The Amnesty for Babies campaign is promoting the rights of unborn children through a petition from legislators (e.g. members of parliament) to the international community. Please visit the Amnesty for Babies website www.amnestyforbabies.com to find out what you can do to support the campaign.
Mr John Klink, a member of the Holy See delegation at the United Nations during the 1990s, gave a talk to a pro-life congress organised by the Pontifical Council for the Family in Peru in November 2005. More. He has occasionally been on the US delegation to the UN since 2000.
