with a very rare condition called Thrombocytopenia Absent Radius (TAR)
syndrome in December 1994. People with TAR syndrome have a blood
clotting deficiency, shortened arms and bowed legs.

Evangeline is now doing very well in a mainstream school. She walks short distances with callipers, and also uses a wheelchair. Life is not always easy for her but she has a lot of friends and enjoys many activities. She is a very bright child, who has always had an inquisitive and determined nature. Sue, her mother, says, "Words will never describe how much we love her."
