Patrons

This year we approached a number of evangelical leaders and asked them to show that they support the work of SPUC Evangelicals by becoming patrons. We believe their support will be invaluable in spreading a pro-life message among evangelical Christians. We have been very much encouraged by the positive responses from the people listed here:
  • Mr David Andrew
  • Mrs Anne Atkins
  • Dr Steve Brady
  • Baroness Cox
  • Rt Rev Dr Peter Forster, Bishop of Chester
  • Mr John Glass
  • Mr Peter Maiden
  • Mr Tim Montgomery
  • Mr David J Murray
  • Mr Wilfred Wong LLB LLM BA

Dr Steve Brady

Dr Steve Brady is Principal of Moorlands College near Bournemouth. Steve is also a Trustee of the Keswick Convention, and a regular speaker there. He is Chairman of the Association of Bible College Principals, and has written two excellent study guides on Colossians and Galatians.

Steve grew up in Liverpool, (and supports both football teams there - Everton and Everton Reserves!). He was converted in his teens at a church campaign and went on to study at what is now LST (London School of Theology). He held three pastorates before joining Moorlands. Steve is more than acquainted with the plight of the vulnerable, as his wife, Brenda, has been an MS sufferer for over thirty years. They have two children, Paul and Ruth, the latter married to Max, and three grandchildren Daniel, Annabelle and Joshua.

Rt Rev Dr Peter Forster

Rt Rev Dr Peter Forster, Bishop of Chester
Rt Rev Dr Peter Forster, Bishop of Chester, studied chemistry at Merton College, Oxford, and theology at Edinburgh University. He trained for the Anglican ministry at the Episcopal Church of Scotland's Theological College in Edinburgh and was ordained in 1980. He was senior tutor at St John's College, University of Durham, and then vicar of Beverley Minster. He was consecrated in 1996 and enthroned the following year.
